koi

We went to russel water gardens with some friends last week. it was fun for the girls to see their impressive fish! we learned a little about the fish, got to feed the fish and we even got to pet the fish-which was weird....

this isn't a really pretty place. it's just a water garden supply company, but the fish are cool and the kids had a ton of fun.

bainbridge island with the jones family

We had the pleasure of spending a part of last weekend with the joneses. we took the ferry to bainbridge island. while in bainbridge we had ice cream at mora iced creamery and kicked it for a while at fey bainbridge state park. we had delicious thai food at chantanee-this place is seriously good. it was really great to spend time with this amazing family. it was while i was visiting the jones family that i first fell in love with the seattle area. when i was in high school i came out and visited them a few times and even spent a summer with them. thank you to my aunt, uncle and cousins (minus jordan and andrew) for spending time with us. we heart you!

 CHEESE

wrapping our babies again and again and again and again.

we snuggle our babies
eat bread
and who can resist putting their feet up and reading up on amazing pizzas that will fill our bellies.

salt dough necklaces

We made heart-shaped, salt dough necklaces. Penelope had a great time cutting out the hearts and painting them after they cooled.
Here's what we did:
1/4 cup salt
1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup luke warm water

Mix together the ingredients and add extra water if needed.  Roll out the dough 1/8th to 1/4th inch in thickness and cut out your shapes (if you are doing necklace, remember to add a hole for the string before baking. bake at 200 degrees until hard turning every 30 min or so. (i baked mine 3hrs).

done!
