Happy Halloween 2013!

Here are my 2 little woodland creatures. These costumes were really fun and easy to make. My nice camera has been on vacation for the last few months and i am going a little crazy, but these are the best shots I got and they will have to do. Love these kids.

A note/demand from P

Last Friday Bryan took P on a little daddy/daughter date and she loved it. She was confused, because she was sure her dad would be taking her dancing... because if you are on a date, then there must be dancing involved. Pen had a blast and decided that Bryan should take her on dates weekly. This note/demand was delivered. The girls knows how to get what she wants.

knit hats

I've been practicing my knitting in the round by making a few hats for my wee ones. we are heading into the COLD season and i am gearing up. I am going to make us all cowls next. Also, this baby needs some knits, so I am getting excited the prospective projects of the newborn persuasion.
a hat for Isla and a hat for Penny from this pattern.

This gray hat was intended for Baby Girl #3, but as I was knitting I realized that Baby Girl #2 might be the more appropriate recipient. I liked this pattern. I am not sure why mine ended up so big (I used the newborn size). Next time I think I will try the premie size?

Knitted blanket for Isla

I've been knitting this little number for the last few months. I am cheating a bit by posting it now, because it is really intended to be for Christmas. I had a feeling that if I waited to post the pics, then I'd better do it now. isn't my girl cute? I used this pattern from Purl Bee. I used this yarn from Blue sky Alpaca. I wouldn't mind making another one of these down the line. It was easy and I like the simplicity of it.

Halloween decor

Can you believe it is almost Halloween? Me neither. I finished the girls' costumes last week and I think they are precious. I will post pictures sometime before Halloween....hopefully. They both require the little ladies to wear a hat. One of my kids doesn't do as she is told and I am hoping the lil' beast will keep her D@*! hat on her head, or the super glue will be coming out.

also, I made a wreath (see above).

28

Aaaand here is the belly at 28 weeks and my little Isla saying, "cheese." Now that i am almost 29 weeks along, I thought I might post this pic. Here is what you need to know before you get pregnant, it makes you fat as illustrated. This little girl is coming and she is coming fast. I am excited, I really can't wait to meet our little baby. Also, I am freaking out...Too much I want to do, too little time.

Soccer

Penelope has been playing soccer this fall and it has been a ball. We still have a few more games left, so we have a few more hours of hearing: "No, kick the ball that way!" and "Don't use your hands!" and "Somebody stand in front of the goal." and "Nice goal, guys! This time let's score for our team." and "Spread out!" It is fun.
