plant mat

bryan and i bought a cute little tree/plant for our front room on monday. it is nice to have a houseplant or 2... anyway, my pot doesn't seem to want to catch all the water that comes out the bottom, so i threw together a little mat to put under the plant to soak up the excess. i think it is cute. i may want to make some on a larger scale for the kitchen....

i just used extra scraps of fabric cut 2" wide. then formed a ring, single crocheted 5 x in the ring, then i increasing in each stitch until it was the right size. super easy!
