drop cloth for my p

our new dining room has carpet! i think it is kind of silly to put carpet in a dining area, but i think that is because i have a penelope! p tends to messy up the floor when she is eating and so i made a drop clothe for her!

i bought 2 towels from ikea ($1.50 ea) and i sewed them together to make the bottom soaker. i then took 1/2 yard of 2 different fabrics and cut them in 1/2. sewed them in a block pattern.

i bound the edges with the underside.

this gives me a heavy duty drop cloth that can be picked up after the meal shaken and folded up until the next time we eat!
